The Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Māori Art Gallery is a community-built space where creativity, ecology, and belonging meet. We are more than a gallery, we are a creative space where people come together to learn, connect, and experience how art and the natural world are intertwined.
From the afforested roof to our public and learning programmes, the Centre offers ways to engage with creativity, environment, and place.
Access to creative and environmental experiences is not equal for everyone in our region. Cost, transport, and opportunity all shape who gets to participate.
Donations contribute directly to:
increasing access through free and low-cost programmes
delivering creative and environmental learning for schools, rangatahi, and whānau
supporting resources and facilitation that connect art, ecology, and community
Every contribution helps sustain a living centre grounded in care for people, place, and the environment, so that more people can experience, learn, and shape a more connected future.
