The Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Māori Art Gallery is a community-built space where creativity, ecology, and belonging meet. Born from the commitment of thousands of Northlanders, it now stands as a shared space for connection between people, culture and the environment.

Our vision is to be a place where art and ecology inspire each other, where creativity feels local and inclusive, and where everyone can see their role in shaping a better, more connected future.

We see the Hundertwasser Art Centre as a living part of Whangārei’s creative and cultural ecosystem, a place shaped by its people, responsive to its time, and grounded in care for the natural world.
