In participating in this Outdoor Exhibition:
Artists have an opportunity to display their art to a wider audience outside the confines of an Art Gallery.
Each artwork will be installed with a plaque with the name of the artwork and the name of the artist.
There will be a brochure available at the Hundertwasser Art Centre Front of House. Information in the brochure will include a photograph of the installed artwork, name of the artwork, name of the artist, a short paragraph describing the artwork and possibly the artist’s contact details.
The Hundertwasser Art Centre will not manage the sale of artworks but will put potential buyers in contact with the artists. The artwork is to remain as part of the Hundertwasser Art Centre Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition for the agreed loan period.
A contract, for the loan of the artwork, will be signed between the artist and the Hundertwasser Art Centre.
The ‘loan period’ will be 12 months.
Delivery, including costs, to the site, and when returned, are the responsibility of the artist.
The artist will be responsible for packaging of the artwork.
About installation, the artist is responsible for anything, including costs, required above or separate to, the existing concrete foundation. The existing concrete foundation/base is set flush with the existing ground and is 650mm X 650mm square and 600mm deep.
The Selection Committee determine the location of selected works but are happy to consider suggestions from the artist.
Selection Criteria:
All works must be suitable for outdoors.
All artists to be New Zealand based.
Emerging artists are also encouraged to apply.
Any subject or form may be considered.
